Announcing Event Integration

Events are a hotbed for stacks of business cards, and since we’re here to help you with your new connections we’re announcing event integration today. Cardcloud currently stores two types of contextual information for each card shared:
The time & date you met someone, as well as the location.
Combining these two elements we’ve come up with a third element: Events. We’ll be partnering with organizers and sponsors to actively add event details to card exchanges. The first event we’ll be launching this new functionality will be The Next Web Conference in Amsterdam. Starting today.
So what does this event integration actually mean? Simple. We start with adding a conference badge to each card that gets sent from one of the official conference venues, during the dates of the conference (26th to 29th of April in this case). This way, recipients will know at what conference or event you’ve actually met, apart from location through the map.
Cardcloud for Events works when sending cards from the iPhone app or m.cardcloud.com.
We’ll be adding more conference specific features in time. If you’re organizing events, don’t hesitate to contact us at events@cardcloud.com.
